From when I started grade school there were about six of us girls that hung out throughout our grade school years and all through high school I graduated with 48 people in my class so we all knew each other well!
But our 7th grade year was my favorite year because we were each going to have a slumber party for each of our birthdays our 7th grade year!
So we started with my best friend’s birthday, which was in October! She had all of us out to her house down by the river! We played basketball outside until dark, then came in to eat dinner. We hung out in the house or came in and out from outside till it was time to start the movies. It was decided already that we were going to watch The Outsiders, Children Of The Corn and follow it up with Cujo. We watched those three movies at every sleepover that 7th grade year at everyone of our six houses!
But we kicked it off in October and I will always remember that 7th grade year!
Hochatown in October is a perfect fall getaway! There is a cool breeze blowing through the pine trees and the leaves around the river and lake are changing colors.
